Kearsley Academy football updates: 60 second round up

The new set of football fixtures are well under way here at Kearsley Academy and what a solid start it has been for our teams. Kearsley Academy's new year 7 team unfortunately got beat 3-0 in their first ever game for the school but were well deserved winners beating Sharples High School 5-1. Some fantastic individual performances were made but more importantly an emphatic team performance contributed towards this victory.

Our year 9 team have scored a substantial total of 17 goals in the two games beating Westhoughton High School 7-4 to reach the quarter final of the cup competition as well as comfortably beating Sharples School 10-1 in the league. Throughout the two games the year 9's have showcased a fantastic attitude and should be proud of their performances. Our year 10 team have yet to play their cup match but were worthy winners against Sharples School with the final score ending 8-2 encapsulating a professional team performance. A HUGE well done to all our students representing the school who have shown real mature displays on the pitch as well as positively representing the school off the field. We encourage as many students as possible to turn up to football training to try to be selected for the teams. Football games for all year groups will continue after the half term.
